Cornell CSSA hosted 09′Farewell Gathering in Willard Straight Hall International Lounge and Music Room on May 2nd. Over 60 friends from Chinese community attended. Slide show featuring Cornell life along with Chinese school music was played while the audience was enjoying delicious desserts and fruits.
Three speakers, PengMo(CIPA), Janet Yang(Communication) and Xin Li(Biology) shared their interesting stories with the audience. Then each graduating Cornellian received a special gift along with a nice farewell card written by current students. Finally, two songs from Han Wang and Dai Tang were performed as the bless for the future success to our graduating friends.
Then came the leisure time! Casual conversations between Chinese friends brought our community together. Some audience joined Poker and Mahjong games. Karaoke won the favor of many which proved that Chinese Cornellians did have the talent!
